FORD 2010 ROUSH 540RH Mustang

FORD 2010 ROUSH 540RH Mustang

The ROUSH 540RH Ford Mustang features a 540 horsepower powerplant and has limited content. Also known as the Hammer, The ROUSH 540RH Mustang comes armed with massive horsepower, a ROUSH rear decklid spoiler, and short throw shifter with a choice of white or black ball, the 540RH is a stoplight slayer.

The 2010 ROUSH 540RH Mustang has a new suspension package which includes front and rear springs, front and rear stabilizer bars and jounce bumper, and a subtle tone-on-tone striping package. The ROUSH 540RH Mustang vehicle uses the same engine that debuted in the 2009 ROUSH P-51B Mustang. In order to get this type of power from the Ford 4.6L, 3-valve engine, ROUSH technicians replace many of the internal components with stronger parts including forged aluminum pistons (with an increased dish to lower the compression ratio from 9.8 to 8.6), forged steel H-Beam connecting rods and a forged steel crankshaft. The fuel rails are changed, as are the fuel injectors and an upgraded fuel pump. ROUSH also upgrades the clutch and includes a custom-calibration for the ECM to manage the performance of the next-generation R2300 ROUSHcharger.

Ford Mustang Cobra Jet 2010

Ford Mustang Cobra Jet 2010

The 2010 Cobra Jet Mustang, like its predecessor, is a factory-built race car that is intended for NHRA Stock and Super Stock racing. The goal for the 2010 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet was to enhance the race features to further make its own place in NHRA history. The 2010 Cobra Jet Mustang will come with all of the features of the 2008 car with enhancements that include options for a full race-prepared automatic or manual transmission, drag race-specific shocks and springs, manual steering and brakes, 8.50 certified rollcage, and an Aeromitive return-style fuel system with trunk-mounted fuel cell.

The entire 50-car run of 2010 Cobra Jets will be built on the same production line that produces the 2010 Ford Mustang production car. Production of Cobra Jets will commence in January, with delivery of all vehicles expected in the first quarter of 2010. The 2010 Cobra Jet Mustang car features a choice for customers between two supercharged engines or three normally aspirated engines (pending NHRA approval). These options will allow the Cobra Jet Mustang to be eligible for more classes in the NHRA, as well as competition with other sanctioning bodies, including NMRA, NMCA, PSCA and IHRA.

Mustang 2010 Saleen 435S

The 2010 Saleen 435S Mustang is powered by a 4.6-liter, 3-valve SOHC V8 engine, complete with a Saleen Series VI twin-screw supercharger and two-stage intercooler. This engine produces a vigorous 435 horsepower and 425 lb.-ft. of torque. It’s mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, and has a 3.73:1 rear axle ratio with limited-slip differential. The Saleen 435S Mustang rides 1.5 inches lower than a Ford Mustang GT, thanks to its Saleen Racecraft performance suspension. The suspension package includes springs, a stiffer front stabilizer bar, and nitrogen-pressurized shock absorbers tuned exclusively for the 435S. The vented brake rotors, front and rear, are slotted and cross-drilled for improved feel and stopping performance. Larger, 14-inch slotted front rotors with 4-piston calipers are available as an option.

An optional Aero Package includes a lightweight chin splitter and rear spoiler for improved aerodynamics. The Saleen 435S Mustang exterior highlights include unique, 18-inch, 5-spoke alloy wheels (19- and 20-inch wheels are available), and “435S” lettered on each side of the hood’s power dome.
